Barbeque Recipes - Fast and Easy
I love chicken on the barbeque, but I’m not ready for the food channel. I like to make a fast tasty chicken dish on the barbeque and have I the cheater technique for you.
Barbeque Chicken Recipe
First and formost, the simplest way to ensure chicken cooks completely on the barbeque is to take chicken pieces and pre-boil them. Yes, they will be quite yuck looking once off they are boiled and completely cooked, but what we do next will guarantee success with your chicken.
Preheat your barbeque until it is nice and hot. Next, turn down your barbeque elements until they are between low and medium low. We want to keep the grill hot once we close the lid, but we don’t want to entice the chicken to start to cause flame ups and burn our chicken.
Before applying the chicken to the barbeque, brush on a layer of olive oil. If you cannot use olive oil, simple vegetable oil should do. We are concerned with covering our chicken well with the oil so it will not stick on the grill or burn the skin.
Two Ways to Complete Our Chicken
Close the lid while cooking, and check the chicken often. Turn the chicken to give an even cook on the outside. Once you have the outside the way you like it, you can go two routes here. If you like barbeque sauce, apply a generous coating to the outside of the chicken. After the sauce gets a chance to cook for five minutes, turn the chicken and apply sauce to the other side. Perform this step one more time on the top. This will give you an awesome taste.
If you don’t like barbeque sauce, brush on a bit more oil or vegetable oil. Let the oil sear the skin a bit more. Before removing, apply a sprinkling of salt or better, rock salt to the outside of the chicken. Yummy.
There you have it. The first of many recipes I hope to share! Hey, I’d like to hear your favorite recipe or your favorite way to barbeque. Please leave a comment below to share! And come back often as I will be adding lots of great barbequing content.

Oh yes. If you are ever in need of a great chicken recipe, have I got one for you. The nice thing is it’s dead simple. Beer Can Chicken.
What you do is take a can of beer. Empty out about 1/2 of it. (I’m sure you’ll find some use for it!) Heat up your barbeque on one side only. You will need a lid on the barbecue that will fit the chicken or else this won’t work. What you do is fit the one open end of the chicken onto the opened beer can.
Place the chicken and beer can on the other side of the barbeque that is not lit. Turn the heat down to about medium and close the lid. It will take about 30 to 45 minutes to cook. Basically, you are looking for the chicken to start falling apart.
Enjoy!
