I started making ribs and realized I only have a little barbecue sauce left. Is there anything I can throw together that will taste pretty good without having to make a trip into town? Thanks for any suggestions.

The hosts are supplying all of the meat and buns, but they’ve asked everyone to bring a dish to compliment. Any ideas for something unique and easy to bring? Side dishes and dessert recipes are welcome.

but curious as to how to make any sauce will do

I am not looking for links to websites….I am looking for personal recipes that are tried and true.
I would love to bbq some ribs for Independence Day but I’m tired of the same old recipes. Anyone willing to give up a home-grown recipe?

Is it for tanginess, or is there another purpose? I tried a new barbecue sauce recipe last night – and it turned out that the recipe called for way too much vinegar. It still smells like the night before Easter in my house. Is there something else I can substitute and still get the same apparent flavor? Or, can I reduce it without compromising the sauce?
gojenni: You asked how much vinegar the recipe calls for — for one batch, the total amount of liquid in the recipe (including the ketchup) is 1 1/2 cups, with 1/2 of THAT being cider vinegar. I doubled the recipe and there was WAY too much vinegar. Thanks for your help!

Does anyone know where I can get a recipe for the sauce PF Chang’s uses on their barbecued spareribs?…or if it’s possible to purchase their barbecue sauce somewhere?
I’m talking about the sauce used on the barbecued spare ribs appetizer…not the braised short ribs.
