Natural Gas Grills Archives

Question by bibi: First time use Gasgrill, fist time cook steak. Advise?
I had never use a gasgrill before, i just bought a char-broil 4 burner, model :463268007 using natural gas hook up to the house. It seems like highest temp i can get is only 250 with all 4 burner set on high. but it doesn’t seems to sear the steak within 1 min. i also notice it seems like the area toward the back is hotter while the area closer to the front near the lip is not so hot. this is the first time i use grill and first time cook steak, i am in need of a lot of tips, advise on lots of things like what is the right temp to sear the steak and what’s the right temp to cook the steak after searing them. i also bought a smoke box and some hickory chip, and a bag of ceramic, but i am not very sure how to use thhese stuff, where to put them? and tips on cooking good steak etc…Pls, tell me as much as you can. I’m TOTALLY an idiot to this, but i love cooking. Thank you!
My gasgrill has protective triangle metal ‘plate’ that prevents grease from dropping on the flame vents .is that means i can’t use rock on my gasgrill??

Question by DanTheMan: I’m moving into a house that uses propane gas. I was wondering if propane is affected by rising gas costs.
Our gas bills have been really high lately even though our useage has decreased. I just wanted to know if we would get some relief in the new house since it uses propane rather than natural gas.

Question by ngb_anim8: Can a residence use all-natural fuel AND propane concurrently for different things?
I’m hunting to obtain a certain residence and I was inspecting some of the facts. It seems that the home’s heating program is LP/Bottle. But the water heater is supposedly all-natural fuel/tank. Is that attainable? There is also a gasoline stove, though I don’t know if that’s set up to use organic or propane.
-If the water heater is natural fuel, does that imply there is a gas line currently operating to my house?
-Can I simply convert the heating method to organic gasoline from propane?
-If the water heater is Normal Gas, do you think the stove is using nat gas or propane?
-Can I use my electrical dryer if the home’s setup is for gas or propane?

Thanks you in advance!!!

Yes on the electric dryer. But know that the price of electrical drying vs a flame heat expense far more per therm on common.

As for the organic gasoline/ LP gasoline that system appears Very strange. It would be either one or the other. It would be dangerously perplexing if the two have been mixed in the exact same residence.
IF in simple fact the two LP and Nat fuel do exist in the exact same home, I would have it professionally inspected, perhaps by the nearby creating inspector, being that it would be a extremely excellent chance that they may possibly not be effectively set up.

And yes, IF there is a mixture of gasoline kinds they can be rather effortless to convert to 1 or the other, with new couplings and flipping of switches. Roughly about one one/two hour per device to convert.

The two distinct gasses ought to not exist in the exact same home. Only Fuel & electric or LP & electrical or Oil & electrical, OR only 1 of: Electric/ Gas/ LP/ Oil.
