Grilling Recipes Archives

Making a delicious pizza on the BBQ grill can be a great alternative to professional pizza ovens, or pizza stones. Using this method, you’ll have a pizza that can’t be rivaled by the conventional oven. The light, fluffy garlic and herb crust topped with your favorite pizza toppings will quickly win you over. You’ll wonder why you ever used an oven, once you’ve tried pizza on the BBQ grill.

Ingredients:

1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
Mixing bowl
Sugar
Kosher salt
Olive oil
Flour
Kitchen towel
Minced garlic
Chopped fresh basil
Small bowl
Basting brush
Large spatula
Tomato sauce
Pizza toppings of choice
Shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Combine the package of active dry yeast with one cup warm water in a mixing bowl. Allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes, or until frothy. Mix in two teaspoons of kosher salt, one tablespoon olive oil, and 3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour. Stir until the dough pulls away clean from the sides of the bowl.
Turn the pizza dough out onto a floured working surface. Knead with your hands for about five minutes, or until the dough is smooth and stretchy. Place the dough back into the mixing bowl, and cover with a warm, damp kitchen towel. Allow the dough to remain until it has doubled in size, about one hour.
Punch the dough down with your fist. Knead in two cloves minced garlic and one tablespoon chopped, fresh basil. Cover the bowl with the warm, damp kitchen towel again, and allow the dough to rise to double its size once more, about one hour.
Preheat the BBQ grill to high heat. Place ½ cup olive oil in a small bowl with one teaspoon minced garlic. Put the bowl in the microwave and heat on high for 30 seconds. Set the mixture aside. Punch the dough down again and divide in half. Form each half into an oblong shape, about ½ inch thick.
Brush the grill grate with the garlic and olive oil mixture using a basting brush. Place each piece of dough on the hot grill. If you do not have room for both halves of the dough, you might have to prepare one pizza at a time.  The dough will begin to puff up. Wait for the bottom to brown lightly, and then turn over with a large spatula.
Brush the oil and garlic mixture over the crust quickly, and then brush with about two tablespoons tomato sauce. Use more or less to suit your tastes. Add your preferred pizza toppings. Sprinkle with one cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and two tablespoons fresh chopped basil. Close the grill lid and cook until the cheese has melted. Remove the pizza from the BBQ grill and allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Tips:

Two spatulas may be used together, if a large grilling spatula is not available.

Pulled pork, BBQ chicken, roasted vegetables, and peppers make great toppings for the BBQ grill pizza. However, any of your favorite toppings will work using this method.

Warnings:

Be very careful removing the pizza from the BBQ grill. It will be very hot and could burn. Use potholders to be sure you don’t make contact with your skin, and have a pizza pan or large serving platter prepared to receive it.

Don’t overload the pizza with toppings. The lighter it is, the easier it will be to remove from the grill. Too many toppings could cause the pizza to sag and burn.

Answer by Christine
Trout is genuinely tough to debone. It really is nearly greater to just take them out as you consume it. You can fry the complete issue by dredging it in flour, then egg, then cornmeal and placing it in a frying pan with hot oil. Brown each and every side and then season it when you happen to be carried out.

This grilling recipe is for a unique burger that combines the tastes of bacon and cheese. It is easy to mix up and easier to eat than a traditional bacon cheese burger because the bacon and cheese are in the burger. You can alter this recipe if you are a bacon lover by adding even more bacon to the mixture.

1- You will need about 2 lbs of ground beef. For burgers that you will be cooking on your outdoor barbeque, purchase 80 – 85% lean ground beef. You want to have some fat in the burger. It will make it tastier and cooking it on a grill the fat will burn off.

2- The next ingredient that you need is bacon. I use 2 packages of ready-cooked bacon. This bacon is pre-cooked and normally all you would need to do is microwave it to make it crispy. I chop the bacon slices so that they are large enough to taste but not too large.

3- Cheddar cheese is my cheese of choice for this burger recipe. Use about 8 ounces of extra sharp cheddar cheese. If you prefer a milder cheddar, you can substitute that. Chop the cheese into small cubes. Grating the cheese isn’t preferred for this recipe because the cheese melts away too much and you do not get enough of the flavor.

4- To the ground beef I add 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. I do not add any salt as there is enough in the cheese.

5- Mix all your ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Form into equal-sized patties.

6- Cook on a hot grill allowing 3 – 4 minutes before turning.

7- Place on hamburger buns and you have delicious bacon cheese burgers. Every bite gives you a burst of bacon or cheese flavor! Delicious.

I’d cook them in the crock pot, with BBQ sauce. cook on high for 6-8 hours. they will come out so tender the meat will fall off the bone. if you are using BBQ sauce out of a bottle you might want to ad a little water so the sauce wont burn.

Chicken is a favorite worldwide and my favorite too. I am head over heels in love with the chicken. Grilled chicken I can say would be right on top in my list of favorite chicken recipes. Being a health enthusiast I just love the idea of tasty succulent chicken cooked to perfection and that too with hardly any oil or fat.

Grilled chicken can be a wonderful treat – tasty and healthy. Grilled chicken uses very little oil or fat and thus, is a healthy choice. On a diet, grilled chicken can be one that you would love to have on your plate without feeling the guilt.

If you love cooking outdoors, then the grilled chicken is a wonderful choice for your outdoor cooking menu. Have friends over for a fun grilling session, nothing like it for a great weekend party. Let’s get started on a great grilling session. It is simple with just a few must remember tips you would have a juicy succulent chicken that you would love to just go on and on with.

1-You could grill the chicken either whole, chicken breasts or in small pieces. The smaller the pieces the faster it will cook, that’s plain simple cooking logic. Cooking the chicken well from the inside (without burning the outside) is the trick to great grilling.

2-Clean the chicken well, remove the giblets. Wash and pat dry all set to moving to the next stage of marinating or the dry rub. There are hundreds of variations possible with the marinade or the dry rub and so here your taste buds work as the best indicators or guide. You can try anything from a simple seasoning of salt, pepper and herbs to a complicated and tasty marinades or rubs. The whole process is getting me hungry.

3-If you wish to marinate your chicken, do so well in advance so that all the flavors go deep into the layers of your chicken. Marinate the chicken and refrigerate for atleast 6-8 hours or better still overnight. Marinating the chicken is a good idea to make your chicken more flavorful. If the chicken is marinated, drain the extra marinade before placing the chicken on the grill.

4-If you do not wish to marinate your chicken, using a dry rub is a good idea to make it a flavorful experience. Dry rubs again, could be of many kinds and so go in for the recipe that suits your taste. Smear the rub well all over the chicken. A homemade rub would be definitely a better choice however, if you are really short on time there is wide range available in your local supermarket.

5-Get your grill going. Rub the grill with oil so that your chicken does not stick on to it. The grill should be nice and hot before the chicken is placed over it. However, do not grill the chicken directly on the coals. The breast side should be placed on the grill (the fleshy portion first). Cook till it turns golden brown.

Cut a small piece from the chicken – the juices should run clear and the flesh should be white rather than the reddish color of raw meat. Using barbecue sauce or the remaining marinade for basting is a good idea. However, ensure that you do it only towards the end of the grilling session once the chicken is almost done. Enjoy a wonderful time at the grill!!
